AfroRights Activities
AFRORIGHTS being a grass root organization deep in both African and European society, we have the experience and the knowledge of the two environments to carry out our activities to reach the expected goals:
- To effectively assist African victims of injustice, especially by helping victims of gross human rights violation to seek redress.
- To morally and materially assist refugees, asylum seekers. Internally displaced persons {IDPS}, irregular immigrants and vulnerable members of the society that are exposed to discrimination, exploitation, abuse and social exclusion.
- Organising of training programmes on human rights education for Africans.
- Advocating for adoption of positive European policies approaches toward Africans.
- Working for active discouragement of illegal immigration to Europe and developed world.
- Effective outreach to African communities and encouraging for a love for the country of residence.
- Effective discouragement of religious extremism, trafficking in persons and terrorism.
- Working for the protection of the basic rights of African child and African women.
- Lobby and organise debates, conferences and brainstorming forums on contemporary issues facing Africa; the outcomes are used in the formation of the African development policy.
- Undertake regular development policy analysis and action-oriented research.
- Act as advisors and researchers of African development programmes.
- Facilitate employment opportunities for skilled Africans in the Netherlands and Africa.
- Set up a database on African organisations and African professionals.
- Form African think tanks that provide us with insight into issues facing various countries and the best way to tackle them.
- Build capacity among African Diaspora organisations making them more effective and professional to better contribute to the development of Europe, Africa and Africans.
